MJW Consulting was founded in 1999 by John M. Watch, a highly regarded appraiser from the banking community who saw an opportunity to significantly raise the bar on property valuations by using improved data collection methods and applying complex, precise mathematical formulas. In 1999, MJW launched USPDR.com, a universal data warehouse system covering all properties in New York State and expanded in 2007 to cover 16 other states on the east coast. This website permits individual property, sale history, ownership and multiple query searches.

The firm has invested significant financial and intellectual resources to develop a data collection system that enables far more accurate and defensible statements of market value for residential and commercial properties, vacant land and agricultural properties.

In 2000, MJW developed software designed to assist the assessor in property valuation. Enhanced functionality and additional data elements of the universal software systems for business and governmental deployment (USSBG) by merging information from various federal, state and local governments, this system provides more accurate and comprehensive data sets for use at state and local levels. of ARS™ will enable other departments to access information and provide it as well.
